Hey John-

I just wanted to let you know I absolutely LLOOVVEE the 5'0 you made for me. It was hard to get used to the first day I got it wet - (mostly because the waves were a little mushy) but the past few days the waves picked up out here and I'm in love with the board. I've gotten used to it so quick and have been craving the surf more now because I'm on a board I love - Thanks to YOU (and Sean for telling me about Uhuru- and speaking so highly of you). Seriously though, I can't emphasize it enough...and once I become more natural at the smaller shape, i'll definitely be getting in touch with you for another one...Thank you so much!!

-Allie

John,

Hey man hope all is well been super busy with work and all this swell we have been receiving. This has been one of the best fall's we have had in a long time. I cant remember the last time I was able to surf just about every day for about a 2 month period :)

Which brings me to the mad props that you deserve. The bonzer has absolutely blowing my mind. It is incredible the things it can do. I dont think I have surfed this well or had this much fun since I was 18. Anything from the weakest thigh high shore dumper to DoH Earl swell. It does it.

The ability this board has to make sections is incredible. I love coming off a bottom turn stall a little sight my line then hit that afterburner you hid in the tail, and just crank it of the top. The harder I push the harder it pushes back feels like a sling shot. Serious, one little nudge in the right spot and it just GOES. I think that everyone needs to experience this, and of course I am sure you know.  I don't know what kind of magic fairy dust you put in your boards but it works, and works reallllllly good. And don't get me started on holding a line in overhead heaving low tide barrels, find the right little spot on the wall and hold on being shot out a rifle would probably be more tame; longest barrels I ever had were this Fall on this board hands down. All I can do is smile.  Looking forward to working with you again in the future. Keep it up.

Much Much Much respect,

Nic

John,

Whats been happening man? Well after having time to get nicely acquainted with the wave hog, i am super stoked. This board absolutely catches everything. I can easily rip the top off anything or cruise way up front down the line like a funshape hanging five , unbelievable glide that does not end. This is one of the most versatile boards I have owned, and dont get me started on the almost 2 month run of waves no less than waist high that we have had. Have absolutely no problem taking off super deep in hurricane surf either unimaginable holding power. My surfing is right back where it was before I took my Hiatus a year or so ago the stoke is even hotter than when I was just learning almost 20 years ago.I have already begun the thought process of my next custom, I don't think you can ever have enough options. Really enjoyed the interview on rerip very cool. Well, the next time you get an email from me we will probably be going to the old drawing board and dreaming up some sort of magic carpet, definitely leaning towards epoxy want something a bit lighter.

Much respect

Hey John,

Just thought i send a little update....This board rips...this past weekend I had no plans so I went down to Oceanside Saturday stayed at my cousin in San Clemente and did a full day of Lowers on Sunday. This board is so easy on catching waves....it makes the smoothest cut backs.

I have some friends that are def. interested in getting a new stick. I few said they saw your add in Surfer for a discount...

Anyway is it cool to pass along your info so they can get in touch with you??? Hope all is well with the family.

Hey John,

the board  is a magic board. Check out the pics on snapfish. My wife sent it to you. I love it. Ive been surfing alot and yesterday I busted a huge air. I was shocked because I never try airs and I actually saw the whole thing happen before it happened, Thanks. The pics were takin by a fisherman who happened to be at the Jetty we were surfing at.

Thanks

Hi John,

Just wanted to let you know that Natalie surfed the Uhuru she won at the Wahine and really enjoyed it - especially with all the hurricane swell we've had lately! She's never really surfed shorter boards but felt comfortable and stoked on yours. I even took it out for a spin and it held well.

So just wanted to extend our thanks, and we'll pass on the good word about your boards.

All the best,
